The
current reading of the 2nd Amendment gives every American the right
(in all caps.. THE RIGHT) to commit suicide and also take out any number
of other people. Current "tools" make it possible to wipe out a large
number of people in a short time, and Americans are allowed to choose who
else is going to die. Nuns, school kids, babies, Christmas shoppers,
postal employees, soldiers, movie goers, McDonald's customers, family
members; it doesn't matter; the Constitution says it's OK to shoot them
all. And I'm sure that we can all agree that the Framers had this in
mind when they adopted the Bill of Rights. Franklin, Jefferson, and
Madison envisioned these events, like those at Sandy Hook Elementary,
would be good for the country and set in stone our RIGHT to mass murder
(as long as you then commit suicide).
Is this quote from the Constitutional Convention accurate? Mr. Franklin said, "Mass murder is not all bad. Y'all could even say it would be a good thing, put it in an Amendment."
